Wingrove Valley is a unique farm-style, family-run wedding venue situated in the heart of the Acacia Thornveld. Our exclusive venue is located on an old working farm, hidden away in a gorgeous valley just outside of Pietermaritzburg.

Wingrove Valley is run by an energetic husband and wife team and their small staff complement – people with a passion for ensuring your special day is nothing short of magical. Daniel and Tamlin
Daniel and Tamlin Goodall are the heart and soul behind Wingrove Valley. Their journey into the wedding industry began with their own love story—they were the very first couple to get married at Wingrove Valley, back when it was little more than a rustic reception hall nestled in nature. Since then, they’ve poured their passion, creativity, and dedication into growing the venue into the beautiful, versatile space it is today, complete with a range of chapel options, lush outdoor ceremony spots, and charming on-site accommodation.
Daniel, a skilled mechanic by trade, brings a hands-on approach to the venue. He thrives on the creative side of things—building, designing, and dreaming up new ways to make the space even more magical.
Tamlin, a qualified chartered accountant, is the organisational powerhouse. With a sharp eye for detail and a love for spreadsheets, she handles the day-to-day admin, financial planning, and most importantly, coordinates on-the-day activities. Her goal is to make sure every wedding runs smoothly and stress-free, so couples can fully immerse themselves in the joy of the day.
Together, Daniel and Tamlin are not just venue managers—they’re deeply passionate about weddings. They live for the laughter, the happy tears, and those unforgettable moments that make each wedding unique. They truly believe in creating a space where every couple can feel at home and every love story can shine.
And yes—they’re also proud sausage dog lovers! Their beloved dachshund, Charlie Batman is often found trotting around the property, adding a little extra cuteness (and a lot of personality) to the Wingrove Valley experience.
Lovers of the outdoors, they designed Wingrove Valley to celebrate nature’s beauty—from golden paddocks and towering gums to starlit skies and birdsongs at dawn. It’s not just a venue—it’s a place that reflects who they are: warm, down-to-earth, and filled with heart.
